I made two Sheps, female Paragon and male Renegade, but I preferred femShep’s voice by far. Jennifer Hale is awesome; maleShep just sounds kinda dorky by comparison.
I played through 2 a few times and in 3 with MaleShep - And while his voice is a bit more dorky and less nuanced as Jennifer Hale’s VO work, Mark Meer’s voice did really set the tone for me. I have a friend that is close with him and seeing his truly nerdy background, it made it endearing to me.
I can’t deny that Hale’s VO work is great - It’s still just new to me! I wish she wasn’t as …i dunno…husky? angry isnt what i’m looking for either - hahah one day i’ll pinpoint it! My FemShep, in my head, i want her to be tough, but not un-femme, though i know i only get whatever options the game allows, my brain takes it in another direction!
Only question now is, who do i romance?!

You should have had him write I AM ON EVERY SHOW ;)

I don’t know, the planets aren’t to scale… ;)
Hahah! True true :) You could also say it’s retro - as Pluto is still represented!
Poor, poor Pluto.

Hmmm. I’m more of a PVE player; this is my first MMO ever and in the beta, I was really kind of freaked/annoyed at the thought of there being other people in “my” game. But I’ll consider it once I get used to things!
The folks i game with, none of us are super hardcore into pvp or anything. We all jsut generally like the idea that the other faction are the enemy, and while in open space, they should be treated as such!
I played on both pve and pvp servers in the beta weekends (they actually switched our server to a pve server the second weekend!) and honestly i couldnt tell the difference in the lower levels (I got to lvl 21) i never once encountered an enemy player. I think they keep it pretty well separated till you’re high enough to be able to defend yourself and/or have some decent gear on your back.
Let me know! I’d love to welcome you into the fold, if you’re willing :)
